I had a pretty nice stay overall. The spacious suites were comfortable and well-equipped, and the location provided beautiful views of the golf course. However, I was disappointed with the additional resort fees that seemed a bit excessive for what was provided. The dining options nearby also felt limited unless you were willing to shuttle to other resorts, which required some planning.

Rooms
9.0
The suites were large and well-appointed with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a nice patio overlooking the golf course.
Service
7.0
Service was friendly, but the response time for requests like extra towels was slow, often taking an hour or more.
Location
8.0
The location was good for enjoying the Waikoloa area and nearby Hilton facilities, though it required planning for dining options.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and many required a shuttle ride to other areas.
Facilities

The amenities were nice, especially the pools and shuttle service, but the pricing for cabanas was quite high.

We had an amazing stay that felt both cozy and luxurious at the same time! The condo was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed, making it perfect for our family getaway. The staff were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to help us enjoy our time, from planning activities to reserving a fantastic luau. While it was a bit inconvenient that we needed a car to reach restaurants and activities outside the resort, the overall experience was outstanding, especially with the beautiful surrounding area and access to the Hilton facilities. Just a minor note, the push for timeshare packages felt a bit overwhelming at times.

The location nestled between the two golf courses is gorgeous and feels more peaceful compared to the busy oceanfront resorts, but you'll definitely need a car to get around.

6.4/10

Our stay at the resort was lovely, marked by a spacious and clean room with a beautiful view of the golf course. The amenities were abundant, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. However, some areas of the property could use an upgrade, and the shower cleanliness was disappointing, which took away from an otherwise nice experience.

Rooms
8.0
The unit was spacious with two bedrooms and a great patio overlooking the golf course, making it very comfortable for our family.
Service
7.0
While the management was kind and accommodating, our interactions with some staff members weren't as welcoming, which affected the overall service experience.
Location
6.0
The resort is situated in a peaceful area, but for dining and shopping, it was about a 30-45 minute drive to the nearest options.
Dining
5.0
Dining was limited on site, and our experience was not particularly memorable, which is something we were hoping for.
Facilities

The amenities, including the pools, were great, but the condition of some areas needs attention before the upcoming renovations.

The hotel offers a great experience with beautiful views and numerous amenities. The rooms were clean and modern, but the dining options can be quite expensive, especially for breakfast. The location is decent, though you definitely need a car to explore the island. Overall, it’s a wonderful resort, but be prepared for higher costs associated with dining and activities.

Rooms

The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, featuring a lovely deck perfect for morning coffee and evening dinners. Our view of the golf course was a nice bonus.
Service

The staff was really helpful and welcoming, attending to our questions and needs promptly.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated on the main resort property, which is convenient, but it's essential to have a car to access other parts of the island efficiently.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were expensive, with breakfast costing around $55 per person for the buffet, which was not ideal.
Facilities

The facilities included a lovely pool and access to a dolphin exhibit, adding extra fun to our stay.

Our stay at Kohala Suites was quite enjoyable overall. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the unit itself was clean and well-maintained. However, we found the swimming pools to be uncomfortably cold, and a few aspects like the trash service were inconvenient. Despite these drawbacks, we appreciated the spacious rooms and access to the larger Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort.

Rooms
9.0
The two-bedroom unit was spacious and comfortable, featuring a living room, a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and even a laundry area. It provided a great amount of privacy.
Service
8.0
The staff were quite helpful and welcoming, especially when they learned it was our anniversary. They even surprised us with champagne upon arrival, which was a lovely touch.
Location
10.0
The resort is part of the larger Hilton Waikoloa Village, providing access to beautiful pools and ocean views, making it a prime location for relaxation and recreation.
Dining
7.0
We didn't dine at the hotel much, but the pool area had a bar and limited food options during the day, which was convenient.
Facilities
6.0
While the overall facilities were well-kept, the main drawback was the pool area, which felt quite cold and limited in size.
